Trussler Up for Book of the Year ...Again

Hagios Press is pleased to announce that Michael Trussler, author of Accidental Animals (poetry, Hagios Press) is a finalist in the Book of the Year category of the 2007 Saskatchewan Book Awards. The short-lists for the awards were announced October 18th at press conferences in Regina and Saskatoon.

This is Trussler's second nomination for Saskatchewan Book of the Year in as many years. Last year he won the award for Encounters (NeWest Press), his first collection of short-fiction. Trussler is also a finalist in the City of Regina Book Award for 2007. Last year Trussler received the Regina Award for Encounters.

Joanne Weber, the author of The Pear Orchard (poetry, Hagios Press) is a finalist in the 2007 Saskatchewan First Book Award. This book was many years in the making and Weber's hard work has paid off with the recognition for The Pear Orchard that comes with being short-listed.
