Emma Graney has written a feature on new Saskatchewan Poet Laureate Judith Krause for the Regina Leader-Post. Here is some of what she had to say:

Born and raised in Regina, Krause is the first poet laureate from the Queen City since the position was created in 2000.

For her, poetry has been a "lifelong passion;" she cites her mother as a big influence who always encouraged her to push herself when it came to writing.

"I love language, I love the sound of language and the meaning of words," Krause says.

"It's a challenging art form. And, I mean, who else would spend hours debating where to put a comma?" Krause has four published poetry collections to her name, with a fifth being released next fall.
