Introduction to Hagios Press

Today, Hagios Press is a regional publisher with a national reach. Our focus on fine works by Saskatchewan writers remains strong yet we see ourselves as having a national presence. Many of the titles that Hagios has published to date have been by Saskatchewan writers we are committed to development of new writers and their first books.

Hagios Press has proven in a short period of time that it is still possible to be successful within a region and therefore have an impact on the national writing and publishing scene. While remaining small and decidedly literary we present an exciting vision of what regional publishing can be: producing work of excellence from one part of the country that has a significance and impact on the national level.

During the next two years Hagios Press will remain true to its vision of "Excellence in the small" by focusing our publishing program on 6 or 7 books each year. We will diversify our list by publishing Canada's finest poets, fiction and non-fiction writers. Hagios Press will continue to build its profile within the national publishing scene, focusing on strong editorial development while maintaining the high quality of production and design elements in our books.
